Given :

▪ Initial velocity of train = zero

▪ Final velocity of train = 45kmph

▪ Time interval = 2min

To Find :

▪ Total distance covered by train in the given interval of time.

Concept :

→ Since, acceleration of train has said to be constant throughout the motion we can easily apply equation of kinematics to solve this question.

Second equation of kinematics :

↗ d = ut + (1/2)at²

Conversion :

➡ 1kmph = 5/18mps

➡ 45kmph = 45×5/18 = 12.5mps

➡ 2min = 120s

CalculaTion :

→ d = ut + (1/2)at²

→ d = ut + (1/2)(v-u/t)t²

→ d = ut + (1/2)(v-u)t

→ d = (0×120) + (0.5×12.5×120)

d = 750m
