A train takes 1hr 15 minutes to travel from station A to station B and 60 minutes

to return from B to A. The distance between station A and station B is 54 km.

Calculate : a) Total distance travelled

b) Total time taken

c) Average speed in kmh-1

d) Average velocity​

Answer:

Total distance   D=200+200=400 km

Average speed    V avg​=Total timeTotal distance​

∴ V avg​=2+3400​=80 km/h

Displacement   S=0

Average velocity  V avg​=Total time/Total displacement​

∴ V avg​=2+30​=0 km/h
