The distance between the stations is 73008 m.

Explanation:

Let the the speed of the train be v and distance between two stations is d.

Given time t = 3 h to reached from one station to another.

So, distance between stations d = v x 180 s.

Now speed deceased by  12 km/h and time taken to reached from one station to another is 3 h 45 min ,

so speed = v - 12 km/h.

distance, d = (v-12\times\frac{5}{9m/s} )\times13500s

Since distance is same for the both, so

v\times180s= (v-12\times\frac{5}{9m/s} )\times13500s

v\times0.0133s=v-6.67m/s

v = 6.76 m/s

Therefore distance between stations,

d=6.76m/s\times10800s

d = 73008 m

Thus, the distance between the stations is 73008 m.
