CASE 1:
DISTANCE(D1) = 20 KM
SPEED(S1) = 60 KMPH
TIME(T1) = DISTANCE/SPEED = D1/S1 = 20/60 = 1/3 HOURS

NOW, CASE 2:
DIATANCE(D2) = 20 KM
SPEED(S2) = 80 KMPH
TIME(T2) = DISTANCE/TIME = D2/S2 = 20/80 = 1/4 HOURS

NOW,
AVERAGE SPEED = TOTAL DISTANCE / TOTAL TIME
= (D1 + D2)/(T1 + T2)
= (20 + 20)/{1/3 + 1/4}
= (40)/{(4+3)/12}
= 40/7/12
= 40 * 12/7
= 68.57 KMPH

HENCE, THE AVERAGE SPEED FOR THE ENTIRE  JOURNEY IS
68.57 KMPH
