A train travel the first 15km at a uniform speed of 30km/hr ,next 75km at a uniform speed of 50km/hr and last 10km at a uniform speed of 20km/hr. Calculate the average speed of the whole journey.

time = distance/speed

use this formula and calculate the total amount speed

40 km/hr
d1 = 15km s1 = 30km/hr
d2 = 10km s2 = 20km/hr
d3 = 75km s3 = 50km/hr
Total Time Taken = t1+t2+t3
=0.5+0.5+1.5=2.5
Speed = distance/time
100/2.5 = 40km/hr
