a train travelling at 20 m/s accelerates at 0.5 m/s2 ( 0.5 metres per second square ) for 30 s. How far will it travel in this time?

a = 0.5 m/s²
t = 30 sec
u = 20 m/sec

use formula,

S = ut + 1/2at²
=20× 30 + 1/2× 0.5 × (30)²
= 600 + 1/2× 1/2 × 900
= 600 + 225
= 825 m
