Tunnel length = 31/2 miles
Train length = 1/4 mile
Speed = 75 mph
To find: the time when the train completely crosses the tunnel
T = D/S
D = 31/2 + 1/4 = 62+1/4 = 63/4
T = 63/4*75 = 21/4*25 = 0.21 hours = 12 mins 36 sec
Hope it helps
