➝ Speed = {x+Distance}/Time
➝ Speed = {x+220}/30 -eq(1)
Case 2
➝ Speed = {x+Distance}/Time
➝ Speed = {x+325}/39 -eq(2)
Equating eq(1) & eq(2)
➝ {x+220}/30 = {x+325}/39
➝ 39(x+220) = 30(x+325)
➝ 39x+8580 = 30x+9750
➝ 39x-30x = 9750-8580
➝ 9x = 1170
➝ x = 130
Therefore the length of the train is 130 m
