v = u + at

v = final velocity

u = initial velocity

a = uniform acceleration

t = time interval

=> 40 = 60 + a(20/60)

=> -20 = a/3

=>-60 = a

Therefore the acceleration is -60 km/hr the minus sign indicates that the train is deaccelerated
