Average speed=Total distance÷total time
In case-1
distance=20km
speed=60km/h
time=20km÷60km/h=1/3h
In case -2
distance=20km
speed=80km/h
time=20km÷80km/h=1/4h
Total distance=20km+20km=40km
Total time =1/3h+1/4h=
7/12h
Average speed= 40km÷7/12h=68•571km/h(approximate answer).
