Given : Distance travelled : 48 km

Time taken :

1 \times \frac{1}{3} hrs

 \frac{4}{3} hrs

To find : Distance travelled in one hour

Solution :

Speed of train =

 \frac{48km}{ \frac{4}{3} hrs}

 \frac{4}{3}  = 60min + 20min = 80min

Speed in 1 hour =

48 \div 80

 = 48 \div 1.3 \:

1.3  =  \frac{4}{3}

Now speed =

 \frac{48}{1.3}  = 36.92 \: or \: 37km \: approx.

Hope this helps u
