A train travels at a certain average speed for a distance of 63 km and then travels at a distance of 72 km at an average speed of 6 km/hr more than its origional speed . if it takes 3 hours to complete total journey , what is the origional average speed ?

Hey.............

1st let the average speed of the train is =xnow speed =distance/time hence, 63/x

again for covering the distance of 72 k.m.the time= 72/x+6

now 63/x+72/x+6=3 hoursnow solve the equation to get the answer 

ans:-42
