Answer:

30 seconds

Explanation:

Total distance=Length of train+length of bridge

Total distance=300

Speed=10m/s

Now,

Time takem =Distance/Speed

Time taken=300/10

TIME TAKEN =30sec.

The train will take 30 seconds to cross the bridge

Question :-

A train of length 50m is moving with a constant speed 10m/s . What is the time taken to cross the bridge of length 250 m ?

Answer :-

Given :-

  • Length of the train ( d ) = 50 m
  • Speed of the train ( s ) = 10 m/s
  • Distance of the bridge ( D ) = 250 m

To find :-

  • Time taken ( T ) = ?

Formula :-

  • Total distance ( t ) = Length of the train ( d ) + Distance of the bridge ( D ) .
  • Time taken ( T ) = Total distance ( t ) / Speed of the train ( s ) .

Solution ,

Total distance ( t ) = Length of the train ( d ) + Distance of the bridge ( D )

=> t = d + D

=> t = ( 50 + 250 ) m

=> t = 300 m .

Therefore ,

Time taken ( T ) = Total distance ( t ) / Speed of the train ( s )

=> T = 300 m / 10 m/s

=> T = 30 s .
