Concept

Sum of angles of a triangle are equal 180 and sum of two sides of triangle should be greater than third side.

Given

A triangle ABC in which AB=8cm, <A = 60°

Find

The length of BC+AC

Solution

  • According to properties of triangles, the sum of all the angles must be equal to 180.
  • Also sum of two sides must be greater than third side.
  • Since AB=8cm , the sum of remaining sides must be greater than 8cm.
  • On comparing with the options we can find only option (d) which is greater than 8cm. i.e. 8.8cm.

Hence BC+AC is equal to 8.8cm.
