Hey,.... here's your answer buddy..
Applying Pythagoras theorem in triangle ABC,.
AC^2=AB^2+BC^2
AC^2=5^2+12^2
AC=√169
AC=13cm.
Hope this helps you buddy!!

Hey Friend !!!
Here's Your Answer ⬇️⬇️⬇️ _____________________

we know that in a right angled Triangle, square of hypotenuse is equal to the sum of square of other two sides (Pythagoras theorem)

then here, AB = 5 cm

BC = 12 cm

now, AC^2 = AB^2 + BC^2

AC^2 = 5×5 + 12×12

AC^2 = 169

hence, AC = √169

AC = 13 ans....
