Given :-

Sides of triangle

  • 2x
  • 2x + 3
  • 2x + 5

Perimeter - 56

------------------------------

To Find :-

Length of each side

-----------------------------

Solution :-

( we know that, perimeter = sum of all sides )

So,

2x + 2x + 3 + 2x + 5 = 56

6x + 8 = 56

6x = 56 - 8

6x = 48

x = 48/6

x = 8

Finding length of each side :-

2 x 8 = 16 cm

2 ( 8 ) + 3 = 19 cm

2 ( 8 ) + 5 = 21 cm

-------------------------

Verification :-

16 + 19 + 21 = 56

Perimeter of triangle = Sum of all sides

= 56 = 2x + 2x + 3 + 2x + 5

= 6x + 8 = 56

= 6x = 56 - 8

= 6x = 48

= x = 48/6

= x = 8

So, sides of traingle are :-

2(8) = 16 cm

2(8) + 3 = 19 cm

2(8) + 5 = 21 cm
