The acquired trait during life time of an individual are not inherited for example. Loss of weight of a organism is not inherited because it has involved changes in non-reproductive tissues caused by environmental stress and does it not affects it's germ cell ( aka DNA ). Only DNA alteration will be inherited through the generation.
