A trolley of mass 1000 kg is moving with a speed of 5 m/s. Sand is dropped onto it at the rate
of 30 kg/min. What is the force needed to keep the trolley moving with a uniform speed?

dp/dt=F

∆m/∆t×v=F

∆m/∆t=0.5kg/s

v=5m/s

F=0.5×5=2.5kg×m/sec^2

(This could be the force acting on the system in order to keep it moving in same velocity.)
