Given

108 litres = 594 km

1 litre = 594 ÷ 108 = 5.5

1 litre = 5.5 km .

If 1 litre of diesel required to cover 5.5 km then how many litres required to cover 1650 km

5.5 km = 1 litre

1650 km = 1650 ÷ 5.5 = 300.

Hence : 300 litres of diesel required to cover 1650 km

\large{\bold{\underline{Solution:}}}

For covering 594 km, a truck will be required diesel = \bold{108\:litres}

∴ For covering 1 km, a truck will be required diesel = \bold{ \frac{108} {594} = \frac{2}{11} }

∴ For covering 1650 km, a truck will be required diesel = \bold{ \frac{2}{11} \times 1650 = 300}

Thus, \bold{300\: litres} diesel required by the truck to cover a distance of 1650 km.
