Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

x = 360 m

● Explanation -

# Given -

h = 120 m

# Solution -

Coverage range of tv tower is -

Range = √(2hR)

So, Range ∝ √h

Range = k.√h

For h = 120 m,

Range = k √120

After adding height x, range becomes twice.

2 × Range = k √(120+x)

2 × k √120 = k √(120+x)

√(4×120) = √(120+x)

480 = 120 + x

x = 480 - 120

x = 360 m

Hence, height of tv tower should be increased by 360 m.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
