A TV tower is 40m high. A mass of 5kg is dropped from its top. Calculate the potential energy at the top and kinetic energy just before it hits the ground. please answer ​

so potential energy(u) =mgh

=5 *40*10

=2000J

kinetic energy before touch the ground_

according to law of conservation of energy

( P.E)initial=kinetic energy final

mgh =1/2 mv.

2000=1/2 m. v. v

4000 =5.v.v

v. v=800

v=28.28

so kinetic energy = 1/2 *28.28*28.28

=400
