A two- digit number is 1 more than 5 times the sum of its digits.If 9 is added to the number, its digits are reversed. Find the number.

Let the first digit be x

And second digit be y

- According to question

\implies10x + y = 5(x+y)

\implies10x + y = 5x + 5y

Therefore,

x = 4/5y. ......(1)

Now,

\implies10y + x + 9 = 10x + 9y

\implies9y - 9x = 9

y - x = 1. .......(2)

Putting value of x from (1) in (2) , we get

\implies y - 4/5y = 1

\implies5y - 4y = 5

 \boxed{y = 5}

☆ Therefore

x = 4/5 . 5
