Answer:

10x+y=3+6(x+y)

10x+y=3+6x+6y

4x-5y=3.............. equation 1

10x+y+18=10y+x

9x-9y = -18

x-y = -2................ equation 2

Multiply equation 2 with 5,

5x-5y= -10

So, subtract both the equations

By solving, no.=35

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:Solution :

Let us assume , 5 + √3 is rational.

Let 5 + √3 = a/b , where a,b are

integers and b ≠ 0.

√3 = a/b - 5

=> √3 = ( a - 5b )/b

Since , a , b are integers , (a-5b)/b is

rational , and so √3 is rational .

This contradicts the fact that √3 is

irrational .

Hence , 5 + √3 is irrational.
