Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

LET THE DIGITS BE X & Y

THEREFORE THE NO. IS - 10X+Y

GIVEN THAT ITS EQUAL TO 4 TIMES THE SUM OF DIGITS ,

IT IMPLIES THAT 10X+Y= 4( X+Y )

=10X+Y = 4X+4Y

=10X-4X=4Y-Y

=6X=3Y

=X=3Y/6   ------------(1)

ALSO GIVEN THAT THE NO. IS EQUAL TO 3 TIMES THE PRODUCT OF DIGITS,

IT IMPLIES THAT 10X+Y=3XY

=10(3Y/6) +Y = 3(3Y/6) *Y        ------(FROM EQ-(1) )

=30Y/6 = 9Y/6*Y

=5Y=9Y^2/6

=5Y=3Y^2/2

=10Y =3Y^2

=10Y/3 = Y*Y

=10/3=Y*Y/Y

=10/3=Y

X=3*10/3 /6

= 10/6
