Let 10y+x be the two digit numbers

Given 10y+x=4(y+x)

⇒10y+x=4y+4x

⇒10y−4y=4x−x

⇒6y=3x

⇒x= 6/3 y

⇒x=2y ___________ (1)

10y+x=3yx

⇒10y+2y=3y(2y) [from (1)]

⇒12y=6y²  

 ⇒12=6y

⇒y=2 from (1),

x=2(2)=4

Hence the required numbers = 10(2)+4=20+4=24
