Let us assume the digits be x and y

Then the two-digit number is 10x + y

Given x + y = 5

           y = 5 – x ----------------1

Given (10x + y) – 27 = 10y + x

             9x – 9y = 27

                x – y = 3 ----------------2

Substitute the value of y from eqn 1 in eqn 2

Therefore, x – (5 – x) = 3

                     2x = 8

                      x = 4

Therefore, y = 1

The two-digit number is 10x + y = (10*4) + 1 = 41
