wherein digit at tens place be x and that of units is y

so according to first condition

x=y+5 (1)

according to the second condition

10x+y=8(x+y)

10(y+5)+y=8(y+5+y) from (1)

10y+y++50=8(2y+5)

ie 11y+50=16y+40

so 5y=10

ie y=2

substitute value of u in (1)

we get x=7

so our assumed two digit number=10x+y

=(10×7)+2

=70+2

=72

thus our required two digit number is 72
