The speed of the tip is constant, but the direction of its displacement
and therefore, it's velocity is constantly changing. As the tip is moving along a circular path, is motion is called uniform circular motion

yes, uniform circular motion is always acclerated because altough the speed remains constant but the velocity at every instant:(i.e-it's velocity is along the tangent draxn from that)
note:velocity is a vector quantity and depends on magnitude as well as direction.
in this change in velocity is due to change in direction
and not due to magnitude
as velocity is variable hence it is accelerated motion.
