A uniform meter scale balances at 40 cm mark when weighs of 50 gf and 20 gf are suspended at 5cm and 75cm mark respectively. Calculate the weight of the meter scale.

mass of ruler always acts at mid pt

&

acc. to principle of moments

antoclockwise moment of force = clockwise moment of force

moment of force= force × perpendicular distance b/w poimt of action of force and pivoted point
