  • since there is a uniform mass which is distributed in the circular ring the centre of mass of the body will be present at the centre of the ring since the distribution of mass is all equal to it. when a mass of 2 m is rigidly attached to it there is an increase in the mass of the system.
  • Hence there will be the total weight of the system equal to (2m +m)g = 3mg , where g is the acceleration due to gravity
