A uniformly accelerated body travelling along a straight line with an initial velocity of 2 m/s passes over 24 m from start in 3 seconds. Calculate the acceleration and the velocity it will acquire when it has passed over 4 m from the start

distance - 24m/s

s=ut+1/2at^2

24=2×3+1/2a(3)2

24=6+1/2a*9

24=6+9/2a

24-6=9/2a

18=9/2a

18*2/9=a

a=4m/s

v=u+at

v=2+4*3

v=2+12=14m/s
