I am a final year postgraduate student of Economics Honours, from the University of Calcutta. I recently came across an advertisement of the said course in a leading national daily, and I would like to know more about the course.
As an Economics student, I have always wanted to work on the proper utilisation and recycling of resources. In fact, India is one of the biggest countries in terms of raw minerals and resources. Unfortunately, as a developing country, we have not yet comprehended the necessity of managing wastes, whether biodegradable or not. Scenes of empty plots being turned into garbage pits have become an everyday occurrence. It is significant for us students to know more about waste management and inculcate the same values in the society. I was intrigued by the subtopics being provided by the diploma, and I would like to know more about it, including the job prospects attached to the course.
