A variegated leaf with green and yellow patches in used for an experiment to prove that chlorophyll is required for photosynthesis. Before the experiment the green portion (A) and the pale yellow portions (B), are observed. What will be the colour of 'A' just before and after the starch test ? Also write the equation of photosynthesis and mark, as well as validate from which molecule the by product is obtained.

to check wheater starch is present iodine soulution is added which is yellow in color. when starch is present the part is turned into a blue black color. starch will onl be present at the green part since chlorphyll is present and the function of chlorophyll is to trap sunlight to use as energy to make food like carbohydrates and starch

carbon dioxide+water gives u yousing light energy and chlorpyll glucoe + oxygen

in order to keep the equation simple glucose is shown as the food compound in reality the glucose is rapidly converted to sucros to transport all around the plant then stored as starch

here is the balnces equation

6co2+6h20 gives u c6h12o6+6O2
