the magnitude of a vector is ‘a’ and it makes an angle θ with the x-axis then the projection of that vector along x-axis will be a * cos θ.

Also, projection of that vector along y-axis will be a * sin θ.

So, component of the given vector along y-axis is:

= 13 * sin (65.37°)

= 13 * sin (65.37°)

= 13 * 0.9090

= 11.8172
