this is because in .....
in physical quantities. ...like vectors. . . . .
the (-) subtraction sign denotes the change in the direction. ....that is exactly opposite to previous one..,,,..
ACCORDING TO you question. ..you needed the vector of opposite direction so I just multiplied it with (-1).
