A vehicle of mass 20kgs is moving with a velocitg of 4m/s find the magnitude of force that is to be applied on the vehicle so that the vehicle have a velocity od 1m/s after travelling a distance of 20m

if we use kinematic equation for deceleration,
Vi2 -Vf2= 2ad
a=(Vi2 - Vf2) / 2d
from Newton's 2nd law of motion
F=ma=m ×(Vi2 - Vf2) /2d =20 (4×4 - 1)/2×20=
= 15/2=7.5
