A vehicle of mass 500 kg is moving with a velocity of 15 ms.it is brought to rest by a retarding force.find the distance moved by the vehicle before coming to rest,if the sliding fiction between th tyres and the road is 3000N

a = F / m
= 3000 N / 500 kg
= 6 m/s²
Retardation is 6m/s²

S = u² / (2a)
= (15 m/s)² / (2 × 6 m/s²)
= 18.75 m

Distance moved by vehicle before coming to rest is 18.75 m
