Question:-

  1. A vendor bought toffees at 6 for a rupee. How many for a rupee must he sell to gain 20%.

To find,

  • How many toffees he can sell to get 20% gain.

Solution:-

✔ In 1 Rs = 6 toffees

C.P = 100 paise = 6 toffees

✔  \rm Profit=\frac{20}{100} \times 100= 20

✔  S.P = C.P + Profit = 100 + 20 = 120 paise

✔  120 = 6 toffees

✔  100 = \frac{6}{120} \times 100

✔ 5 paise
