A vendor sells apples pears and oranges. He has 120 oranges. Given that he has 20% more apples than oranges and 40% fewer oranges than pears, find total number of fruits he has

120% ——-> 144 (apples)

100% – 40% = 60% ——-> 120

100% ——-> 200 (pears)

120 + 144 + 200 = 464

Ans : 464 fruits.

20% of 120 Oranges is 144

so he has 144 Apples

40 % fewer Oranges than Pears

means.. Oranges are 60% of Pears.

means.. if 120 Oranges are 60% of the Pears ..... 200

so the total of fruits

Apple = 144

Orange = 120

Pear = 200

= 464
