THE COST OF CEMENTING THE FLOOR

GIVEN:-

  • A verandah 1.25 m wide is constructed all along the outside of a room 5.5 m long and 4 m wide
  • rate of Rs.15 per square metre

EXPLANATION:-

Area of room - 4 m×5.5 m = 22\ m^2

Area of verandah including room - (5+1.25+1.25)(4+1.25+1.25

==> 52

Area of verandah= total area -room area

==>52-20

==> 30m^2

cost =15 rps

total cost => area of verandah × cost

==> 30 × 15

==>450 rs
