A verandah 50m long and 12m broad is to be paved with tiles,each measuring 6dm by 5dm. Find the numbers of tiles needed

area of the verandah=50×12=600m^2
area of a tile=6×5=30dm^2
10dm=1m so 30dm=3m
needed tiles=600/3=200
