Answer:

since:

l =40m

b=15 m

area of verandah[rectangle]=l*b

                                            =40m*15m

                                            =600m.sq

and stone each measuring 6dm by5dm

by converting it into meter we get,

   0.6m by  0.5m

now, area of stone= l*b

                             =0.6m*0.5m

                             =0.3m.sq

now, number of stone required =area of verandah/area of stone

                                                 =600m.sq/0.3m.sq

                                                 =600*10/3

                                                 =6000/3

                                                  =2000.

may you got use of this ....

Answer:

2000

Step-by-step explanation:

length of verandah = 40m

breadth of veranda = 15m

area of verandah= length x breadth = 40 x 15

                           = 600 m²

length of stone = 6dm = 0.6 m(1m=10dm)

breadth of stone = 5dm = 0.5 m (1dm=0.1dm)

area of stone = length x breadth = 0.5 x 0.6

                      = 0.3 m²

number of stones required = area of verandah/ area of 1 stone

                                              = 600/0.3

                                             = 2000 stones
