Lenght of a verandah = 40 m = 400 dm

breadht of a verandah= 15m = 150 dm

area of verandah= 400 x 150 = 600 dm2

lenght of a stone = 6 dm

breadht of a stone = 5 dm

area of stone = 6x5 = 30 dm2

total stones need to pave = area of verandah / area of stone

  = 600/30

  =20 stones
