no of stones = area of verandah / area of bricks

area of verandah = 40 * 15

= 600 metre

change Dm into m

5 Dm = 5/10. 6dm = 6/10

= 0.5 m. = 0.6m

area of bricks = 0.5*0.6

= 0.3 m

no of stones = 600/0.3

600/0.3 by removing . we will multiply by 10

600/3 * 10

200*10

2000 stones will be required
