A verandha which is 30m long and 12m broad is to be paved with stones each measuring 4dm by 3dm. Find the number of stones required.

here's ur answer frnd...

given length of the verandah is 30m and breadth of the verandah is 12m

therefore area of the verandah=l×b

=30×12

=360m²

length of the stone tile=4dm=0.4m

breadth of the stone tile=3dm=0.3m

area of the stone tile=l×b

=0.4×0.3

=0.12m²

no. of stones required to pave the verandah =360/0.12

=3000

hence, 3000 stones are required.
