- Length of vertical pole = 6m
- Shadow of pole = 4m
- Length of shadow of tower = 28m
To find:-
- Height of tower
Solution:-
Let height of tower be h m
★ In ∆ABC and ∆DEF,
∠C = ∠E [Angular elevation of sum]
∠B = ∠F = 90°
∆ABC ∼ ∆DEF (∵ By AA similarity criterion)
(∵ If two triangles are similar their corresponding sides)
h = 6 × 7
h = 42m
Therefore, Height of tower is 42m.
