A vertical pole 40 m long cast a shadow 20 m long on the ground. Find the
height of the tower that casts a shadow 50 m long on the ground at the same
time.​

Height of the tower = 100 m

● Explanation -

Length of shadow of object is directly proportional its height.

l1/h1 = l2/h2

Here, h1 = 40 m, l1 = 20 m & l2 = 50 m

20/40 = 50/h2

h2 = 50 × 40/20

h2 = 100 m

Hence, the height of the tower is 100 m.
