A vertical pole and a vertical tower on the same level ground from the top of the pole the angle of elevation of the top of the tower is 60 degree and the angle of depression of the foot of the tower is 30° find the height of the tower if the height of the pole is 20 m

Hi. Here is the diagram of ur question

In this first

Angle cdb=60 (90-30)

As adis parallel toBc then BC=20(given) =x

Now by applying tan we get,

Tan60=20/DCso

DC=20/root3.

Now again in triangle EDC.Angleedc=60

By applying tan we get

Y=60

But height of tower is x+y I. E

20+60=80
