Concept Introduction:-

It may be in the form of a word, a symbol, or a figure that reflects the arithmetic value of a quantity.

Given Information:-

We have been given that a vessel contains 738 litres of mixtures of milk and water mixed in the ratio 13:5 respectively. 'x' litres of mixtures is taken out from the vessel and replaced with 30 litres of water so the ratio of milk to water in the vessel become 13:6 respectively.

To Find:-

We have to find that the value of x.

Solution:-

According to the problem

Initial quantity of milk in the vessel $=738 \times(13 / 18)=533$liters

Initial quantity of water in the vessel$=738 \times(5 / 18)=205$ liters

So, ' $x^{\prime}$ liters mixtures contain $0.72x$ liters milk and $0.27x$ liters water

According to the question,

\Rightarrow(533-0.72x) /(205-0.27x+30)=13/6\\\Rightarrow(533-0.72x) /(235-0.27x)=13/6\\\Rightarrow6(533-0.72x)=13 (235-0.27x)\\\Rightarrow3198-4.32x=3055-3.51x\\\Rightarrow3198-3055=4.32x-3.51x\\\Rightarrow143=0.81x\\\Rightarrowx=\frac{143}{0.81}\\=176.54

Final Answer:-

The value of x is 176.54.
