The ratio of M:W=6:1
The amount drawn =7 litres
The amount of water drawn according to the ratio we have :1/7×7=1litre
The amount of milk is:6/7×7=6litres.
Let the initial quantity of water=X and milk =6x.
When 1 litre of water is drawn, we get:
(x-1)litres.
When we add 3 litres of water, then the total amount of water becomes:(x-1+3)=x+2
This repreprese 14.5%of the new total litres of the mixture.
The new mixture =(7x-4) litres.
This means x+2={14.5/100}× 7x-4
This gives :101.5x-58=100x+200
Collecfing the like term tovether we get :1.5x=142
x=284/3
The initial amount of mixture =7x=7×284/3
=1988/3
The initial percentage of water =(284/3÷1988/3)×100=14.29%
The answer is 14.29%
